Join our Drum Circle, where we gather and improvise on the spot! There is no right or wrong way to make music within the drum circle, we just do our best, hear the rhythm, relax into it and respond by playing along. It's about the dynamic of interaction of musical and personal relationships, the co-creation of rhythmic alchemy. Come along, bring your drum or rattle, we shall also have some instruments to lend so you can participate.

A practice in connection; to self and to nature. Come and join me on a blissful, yogic journey outside in nature, somewhere between the ocean and the sky. Throughout this 1-hour yoga practice, mixing hatha and yin, we will enter physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually into our inner world; diving deep into our awareness, exploring the exquisite and complex matrix of our connective tissues whilst grounding and blending with the earth, our foundation, our connection to all living things. Welcome on the Green Shift stage for Laure Prouvost's choral parade in collaboration with the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco and the Department of Education, Youth and Sports, as part of the "Mo-Mo" art project.

In 2023, after several stays in Monaco at the invitation of the NMNM, Laure Prouvost, who lives and works in Molenbeek (Belgium), proposes to establish an informal and sensitive correspondence between these two territories. MoMo (Monaco – Molenbeek) is a play on words, a , an imaginary space that breaks down borders to connect energies and invent possibilities.

This spring, MoMo will take place on 5 June in the parks and gardens of the Principality, where children from Monaco and Molenbeek will come together to perform a song of dreams and hope written by Laure Prouvost. They will end their journey at 6 p.m. on the Larvotto promenade at the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation's Green Shift Festival.

The two choirs will then sail to the port of Marseille on 7 June and resume their song, joining children from Marseille as part of the Artexplora festival, where the museum ship of the eponymous foundation will fly its sails designed by the artist.

In her films, murals and performances, Laure Prouvost brings humans and plants together, creating joyful hybrids where otherness generates new growth. She pursues these impulses through actions in public spaces, with greening and awareness-raising campaigns that will soon take the form of collective, festive events in Monaco and Molenbeek, where the public will be invited to become participants.

The festival is growing this year with a friendly and engaging "Happy Hour" starting at 6pm, where you can discover local eco-friendly initiatives.

- The Monaco Media Library will present its plant cutting library and seed library, exchange spaces that operate on a barter principle: plant cuttings and seeds are available for free. The public is invited to take or leave them freely throughout the year, bringing this place of sharing, learning and plant discovery to life.

-La Maison des Semences Paysannes Maralpines is an association that collects, cultivates and distributes farm seeds from the Alpes-Maritimes bioregion. It is home to a collective of farmers, gardeners, researchers, chefs and citizens who self-manage cultivated biodiversity and the associated know-how.

Why and how can we reconnect with the living world? First of all, it is a question of disconnecting from an automatic mode and returning to a kind of original place, within a vast network of symbioses and interconnections, of which we humans are as much a part as animals and plants. To achieve this paradigm shift, the knowledge of indigenous peoples in ecology and traditional sciences is a real source of inspiration. By inviting us to listen to their knowledge and wisdom, they open the way to a new relationship with Mother Earth.

TRADITIONAL CEREMONY

At the beginning and end of the evening, Jorge Quilaqueo, in his capacity as machi (shaman) and guardian of knowledge, will perform a traditional Mapuche ceremony.

"I am a machi, I work with nature, I am part of it. I am nature. We machis are responsible for making offerings to the earth to express a form of reciprocity with it. We cultivate this relationship with the forests, volcanoes, oceans , with all of nature. We also talk to the spirits of the places." Join us from 6pm for a fun and friendly Happy Hour dedicated to local environmental initiatives.

- "Pirates des Abysses" is the Monegasque Academy of the Sea's programme for young people, designed by freediver Pierre Frolla at his school. He will share his experience with the youngest participants, combining discovery of the Mediterranean with awareness of the protection of marine flora and fauna.

-The Paddle Cleaner association, created in 2015, has around twenty volunteers who love the region and organise coastal clean-up events using paddleboards and freediving throughout the year. Passionate about paddleboarding and outdoor sports, each of their sporting outings is an opportunity to collect rubbish in a fun way and share zero-waste picnics. They also visit schools and businesses to raise awareness about reducing plastic waste.

-SOS Grand Bleu is a non-profit organisation founded in 1990 with the aim of implementing, developing and encouraging all actions to protect Mediterranean flora and fauna, particularly species threatened by human activity.

-The artistic underwater short film directed by Julie Gautier, entitled Bakélite, will be screened to the public. Produced by Imagine 2050 and supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the film accompanied the citizen mobilisation campaign against plastic pollution launched by the movement last November.

The seas and oceans cover 70% of our planet's surface. Even for those who do not see it on the horizon, the marine world is a source of familiar images. The vast blue expanses fascinate and feed our imaginations at all ages and in many ways: as a condition of life on earth and a provider of essential ecosystem services, the sea is also synonymous with mythical adventures, thanks to explorers and writers, with sensory pleasures for those who live near it and with fantasies for those who imagine it, while embodying, immense and powerful, a place of unknowns, mysteries and possible dangers. It is therefore not surprising that the sea is such a playground for artists. At the mere mention of it, we embark on enchanting inner journeys and connect with emotions that were previously unspoken or unsuspected. It offers a universal language that touches us all and brings us together.

ARTISTIC PERFORMANCES


- Performances by the militant dance collective Minuit 12: excerpt from the choreography Écume and a playful, interactive experience with the audience.

"Like a danced tale, Écume plunges the audience into a story as old as the world itself: the story that connects us to water. Water that we control and dominate. Water that gives us life or takes it away. A piece that embodies the essence of the Minuit 12 collective: an ecology through the body, with the environment at the heart of the movement."


- Unveiling of the Museum Suitcase: The Imaginary Sea by the Carmignac Foundation.

A travelling version of the exhibition "La Mer imaginaire" presented in 2021 at the Villa Carmignac on the island of Porquerolles, the suitcase museum is designed as a small mobile theatre where each scene reveals new works, a travelling miniature museum conceived as a contemporary cabinet of curiosities for the general public, particularly those unable to visit a museum.

As part of the second edition of the Green Shift Festival, the Cultural Affairs Department has decided to renew its support for the organisation of a professional workshop dedicated to ecological transition in the cultural sector.

The workshop, in collaboration with Imagine 2050, an impact consulting and production company, will be led by an expert in the cultural sector, Laurence Ghestem, ecological and cultural transition consultant, and by Yasmina Auburtin, new narratives consultant.

As part of the Green Shift Festival, a guided tour of the exhibition "Miquel Barceló, Oceanographer" is offered on its first day open to the public, in collaboration with the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.

Free guided tour from 12.30pm to 1.30pm at the Villa Paloma.

The exhibition offers a chance to revisit, through a selection of around sixty works (paintings, ceramics, embroidery, works on paper), the prolific output of Miquel Barceló, a Spanish artist who has placed the sea at the heart of his work. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey from the origins of life (fossil compositions, exoplanets, ocean floors and textures of the Earth's crust merging with aerial views of maritime surfaces, exploration of the abyss, and the shapes and fauna of ocean trenches) to the evocation of a human presence that can be glimpsed behind his seascapes, his bestiary and numerous still lifes in the tradition of bodegón (diving, sailing, fishing, cooking, etc.), powerful compositions of waves and ceramics inspired by Antiquity. This is a whole section of the work of one of the greatest contemporary painters, echoing the history of oceanography, which is so dear to the Principality of Monaco.

- Monaco Town Hall will present the concept of the Mùnegu Repair Café, which has become a highly anticipated event for residents of the Principality to have their broken items repaired. This initiative not only promotes the circular economy and combats waste, but also helps to develop social ties.

- The Energy Transition Mission will present the Ma Consigne system implemented in Monaco in June 2022 as part of its commitment to a "Zero Single-Use Plastic by 2030" policy. The stated objective is to move towards zero-waste " " and gradually eliminate single-use packaging by choosing reusable alternatives.

- The Nous Les Ambitieuses association will be present to showcase its positive and impactful work with younger generations, including its major international writing and drawing competition on the theme of "Preserving our Resources, Civic & Environmental Ambitions!", the winners of which will be announced the following day at Monaco station.

-The Envie d'ailleurs festival is an annual event organised in Mouans-Sartoux that celebrates eco-friendly travel, van life and sustainable tourism in the South of France. Through films, workshops, travel diaries and meetings with passionate travellers, the festival offers new ways to get away from it all.

We are living in a time of multiple crises, but rather than predicting the worst, we can build a better future and chart new and exciting courses together. Thanks to the association "Ça commence par moi" (It starts with me) created by Julien Vidal, the 2030 Glorious Years workshop was born, offering a way to overcome the prevailing pessimism by inviting us to discover the glorious 2030s, a fabulous era in which we have created a fairer, more sustainable and happier society.

Cinema, TV series, video games, comic books, music, web culture... Pop Culture influences our daily lives with its own ideas and values. With these entertaining codes accessible to all, a new generation of storytellers is working to build and offer more sustainable and desirable visions of the future. However, the foundations of what could be called "Green Pop Culture" are not new. Japanese popular culture has always revered nature and questioned the link between humans and the living world. In Europe, ecological narratives are part of a cultural heritage that we must reinterpret. And what better way to do this than to draw on the soft power of Pop Culture to promote an "ecological way of life"?
