Transformative tools to nurture the development of new ecological narratives
In the context of the current climate and ecological crisis, our society needs new imaginations to rethink its relationship with life, nature, time and consumption. The stories we produce, share and disseminate shape our collective representations, influence our behaviour and guide our choices.
Supporting and accompanying the development of new ecological narratives means enabling artists, designers, programmers, authors, influencers and other cultural professionals to grasp these issues and integrate them fully into their practice.
To encourage the emergence of content that questions our social models, it is essential to provide practical support to the many players in the sector.
Training and support tools play a central role here. They make it possible to :
Raise awareness of ecological issues in a systemic way, beyond the single technical or regulatory prism,
Provide keys for identifying current dominant narratives and understanding their limits,
Stimulate creativity around new imaginary worlds that are more sustainable, inclusive, supportive and meaningful,
Create spaces for dialogue between disciplines and territories, between art, science, ecology and citizenship.
Training cultural professionals in these new narratives means investing in a collective capacity to imagine desirable futures, to re-enchant the world without denying its realities, and to make culture a driving force for transition.
This is why the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has committed itself to working with partners who are developing tools capable of effectively addressing these issues, using both a global and sectoral approach, whether online or face-to-face.
Tools & projects supported:
An entertaining educational programme offering professionals and anyone with an interest in narratives the tools they need to understand the issues and the understanding required to start promoting the socio-ecological narratives that our societies need.
Available: 1 common core module and 1 ‘audiovisual fiction’ speciality module led by actor Jérémie Renier for professionals.
DECLIC Influence
Influencers have an essential role to play in disseminating new ecological narratives. That is why the citizen mobilisation movement On est Prêt has developed a programme of immersive residencies combining meetings with scientists and experts, workshops and training, to accelerate the awareness and commitment of content creators on social networks. It's an opportunity to give them the keys to making ecological messages their own in a more personal way, before sharing them with their respective communities
Université du Vivant
At a time when young people are having to project themselves into a world whose economic, political and philosophical foundations need to be reinvented, it is essential to give them the tools to understand the major socio-environmental issues of our time from a new angle.
This is the mission of the Université du Vivant, organised as part of the Agir pour le Vivant festival, and supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation since its first edition in 2023.
Every year, young people aged between 18 and 25 are given the opportunity to experience the festival for themselves, while benefiting from a programme designed specifically for them, including privileged exchanges with key speakers from the programme, workshops, outings and meetings throughout the Agir pour le Vivant festival. This is also an opportunity for members of the Foundation's Re.Generation programme, dedicated to future leaders, to come and share their expertise and their vision of commitment.
