Manga artist and illustrator
An accomplished artist, Sinath Bou illustrates books, stories and articles and creates "minute portraits" and "live drawings" at specific events. Sinath also runs manga workshops throughout France in the form of introductory courses and workshops for children and adults alike. She helps children to awaken their creativity and develop self-confidence through drawing. Inspired by Japan and its culture, she navigates different literary and cultural worlds according to her desires and intuitions. Having grown up with two cultures (French and Cambodian), she nurtures her connection to her origins with a particular interest in subjects related to Khmer culture and spirituality. These inspirations have naturally led her to create and develop her own graphic codes and express them through different techniques. Sinath thus oscillates between a rich, pop manga style and a minimalist, black-and-white style marked by the world of fashion.
This artist imposes on herself a solitary, sometimes secret creative discipline, which allows her to tame an emotional field and transcribe it graphically through characters she is particularly fond of. Whether through traditional drawings on paper or on her digital tablet, she expresses herself as much on the corners of notebooks and post-it notes as on a blank canvas. Sinath has made the art of drawing her preferred means of expression and communication, accompanying her both personally and professionally, while allowing her to build bridges to the different worlds of the people who cross her path.
