Journalist, sailor and writer

Journalist, sailboat tester, author of books on the sea and the history of navigation, OLC - his code name in the profession - developed a passion for sailing while learning to read at , devouring nautical magazines and travel stories, and vowing to make it his profession. He never strayed from this course, which led him to write hundreds of articles from all over the world and to edit Bateaux, France's oldest sailing magazine. He has tested thousands of sailing boats of all sizes, from minimalist dinghies to large ocean-going multihulls, not to mention a few detours aboard large non-sailing vessels, tugboats and giant container ships. He has also been involved in designing maritime exhibitions for various museums. He lives in Brittany, on the banks of the Vilaine, and spends as much time as possible exploring the coast, rivers and canals by sail or in his favourite kayak.
