Filmmaker
Mathieu Ciulla is a 27-year-old filmmaker from Monaco based in Paris. After two years at film school, he decided to focus on directing and producing various short films, seeking to take fiction beyond the screen and into the collective imagination and social media. In an effort to aestheticise and poeticise ecological issues, Mathieu Ciulla likes to immerse the modern human figure in the natural world, which it perceives incorrectly. It is in this spirit that he created his production company, infraQuarkstudio, whose mantra is to remap reality and fiction. He wrote and directed the documentary Les Sourciers with Jordan Reclus, the first in a series of three documentaries exploring natural elements and their mysteries. He is also part of the Risky Business Music collective.
