Film director, writer, poet and environmental activist
After studying drama and a short career as an actor, Cyril Dion became project coordinator and editorial director for the Hommes de parole foundation in 2003. He then co-founded and directed the Colibris movement and Kaizen magazine, and created a collection of books published by Actes Sud, le Domaine du possible. In 2014 he returned to creative work with the publication of the collection of poems Assis sur le fil, followed by the co-direction of the film Demain with Mélanie Laurent, which won the César for best documentary in 2016. Since then, he has combined art and activism. He is one of the leading figures in ecological commitment in France, where he was one of the initiators of the Affaire du Siècle and the Convention Citoyenne pour le Climat, for which he also acted as guarantor.
