Pastoral mediator and co-writer of the book À ceux qui viennent
Marie Dugeay spent her childhood and teenage years in Valdeblore, in the mountains. For over 20 years, she has been living in the Roya Valley, where she has pursued a wide range of professional paths: early childhood educator, mountain refuge warden, nature facilitator, pastoral mediator, park ranger, composting guide, librarian… and aspiring writer.
During her years working with the Mercantour National Park, she supported pastoral mediators before taking on this seasonal role herself. This extended period allowed her to meet around fifty shepherds and livestock farmers. She has sought to make the most of this experience by contributing to a better understanding and recognition of pastoralism in mountain regions.
