MoMo, a vocal performance by Laure Prouvost

The Green Shift Festival

As part of the Green Shift Festival, the New National Museum of Monaco and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation present MoMo, a vocal performance by artist Laure Prouvost, on Wednesday 5 June 2024.

In 2023, after several visits to Monaco at the invitation of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, Laure Prouvost, who lives and works in Molenbeek (Belgium), proposes to establish an informal and sensitive correspondence between these two territories.

MoMo (Monaco – Molenbeek), initially symbolised by flags, is now becoming a choir and will soon take the form of gardens.

On Wednesday 5 June 2024 at 4.30 p.m., two choirs will begin their performances in the Principality, at the Princess Antoinette Park for the pupils of the Révoires school and at the Bosio Pavilion for the children of Molenbeek.

The young singers will then gather at 6 p.m. at Place Anne-Marie Campora to perform together the song of dreams and hope written by Laure Prouvost, thus kicking off the 2nd edition of the Green Shift Festival organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

The artist will then be invited to speak about this original project during the festival's Happy Hours.

In her films, murals and performances, Laure Prouvost connects humans and plants, creating joyful hybridisations where otherness generates new growth. These impulses take shape through actions in public spaces, through greening and awareness campaigns, and collective and festive moments where the public is invited to become actors.

The two choirs will then sail to the port of Marseille on Friday 7 June and resume their refrain, joining forces with children from Marseille as part of the Artexplora festival, where the museum ship of the eponymous foundation will fly its sails designed by the artist.
