TIME FOR THE OCEAN : 1st editon of the documentary film festival
Inspiration
As part of the Year of the Sea and to coincide with the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) in Nice, the association Time for the Ocean is presenting the first edition of its digital and touring documentary film festival Time 2 Sea, from 9 to 20 June 2025.
A rich and varied programme, combining film screenings and debates with directors and speakers, with the aim of raising awareness among the younger generation, through Art and Science, of the challenges of protecting the Ocean.
As the association's president, Marion Semblat, points out: "Art, by taking an interest in the living world, enhances the value of a natural heritage and encourages its conservation and protection. It's raising awareness that gets theball rolling. The power to change is in everyone's hand. Let's give a voice to artists, film-makers and scientists".
All the festival's events are free and open to the general public. From Nice to Deauville and Cherbourg, 10 towns will be hosting the Time 2 Sea festival. Go online here to find the Time 2 Sea platform and its selection of 20 committed films exploring the link between Man and the Sea.
Time for the Ocean is a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to encourage exchanges, promote knowledge and expertise, and create the conditions for interaction between Art and the Environment.
