Mairie de Monaco X JEMONDE : Draw your own soul portrait
Inspiration
To mark World Environment Day, the Monaco City Council, in collaboration with JEMONDE, invites you to discover an original and innovative artistic initiative: the creation of soul portraits, on 3 June 2025 from 1pm to 4.30pm, in the Cour d'Honneur of the City Hall.
This creative initiative, the first of its kind in Monaco, will encourage participants to express their perception of the world and their relationship with the environment, by creating their own soul portrait. To do this, participants will be transported into the MAIRIE DE MONACO X JEMONDE experience by filling in four introspective phrases reflecting their identity: ‘I am’, ‘I live in a world’, ‘what is my commitment’ and finally a favourite phrase of their own. These testimonials will be transformed into a true portrait of their soul, which participants will be able to take home with them.
Created by sustainable development artist Maud Louvrier Clerc, this project is part of the Humanities Art & Society programme supported by UNESCO, the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences and Mémoire de l'Avenir.
Through this initiative, the Municipal Council aims to raise awareness of the importance of a sustainable environment through an artistic project, while fostering a sense of belonging and shared responsibility.
If you can't make it to Monaco for the occasion, you can also share your vision of the environment and create your own soul portrait by visiting the dedicated ‘MAIRIE DE MONACO X JEMONDE’ page.
You can also meet Maud Louvrier Clerc and the Monaco City Council team at the Green Shift Festival, Place Anne-Marie Campora, Promenade du Larvotto, on Wednesday 4 June at 6pm, for a presentation of the MAIRIE DE MONACO X JEMONDE experiment. The installation will then be available throughout the festival, from 4 to 6 June, to add to the range of portraits of the Principality's souls. Join the adventure!
