Healing flags : when art serves ecological resilience

Inspiration

‘Healing Flags’ is a monumental art installation created by the Aleksandr Savchuk Cancer Charity Association, in collaboration with the Pavillon Bosio, Monaco's Higher School of Fine Arts, artist and researcher Olga Kisseleva, founder of the Sorbonne's Art & Science Laboratory, and young students from the International School of Monaco.

The 22 flags that will be on display on the Promenade du Larvotto from 3 June to 4 August 2025 are inspired by the motif of coral, an emblematic species of the Mediterranean, a symbol of regeneration, and a major research topic for the Monaco Scientific Centre.

This awareness-raising project highlights the power of art to transform consciousness and inspire action. With poetry, the flags embody the creative force of new generations in the face of environmental and human challenges.

To learn more about the origins of the project, visit the Green Shift Festival, organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, where the Aleksandr Savchuk Cancer Charity association will be speaking on Thursday 5 June at 6pm.
